I get to the point where it's like... what's even the point?
This series speaks personally to me because I've dealt with self-esteem (or lack there of) since puberty. During the day, you can fight it off and ignore the part of your soul that is screaming that it hates every inch of fat and every piece of flabby skin. I'm nearly twenty years old and I can't look at myself naked, think about bathing suits, or even function normally. I know thousands of women feel this way, and no one ever talks about it. It's so deepy engrained in our culture that we can't erradicate it; the human species has evolved to teach women at age 6 that you're worthless unless you're thin. But the truth is, you can run and diet yourself to death, and you will never be what you see in the magazines... ever.
